Before our very first Shoe Palace door, the Berryesa Flea Market was where we called home. While being a part of the Flea Market, we were able to set the foundation for Shoe Palace as a company and more importantly, we established ourselves as a key part of the community. Now being the largest and most influential retailer in the footwear industry, for our 30th anniversary celebration, we would like to pay homage to where it all started. This design is inspired by the vintage signs from the Flea Market. With this 30th anniversary celebration, we hope to portray the past, present, future, and the importance of being rooted.

The NMD R1 features a knitted upper with the Flea Market logo on the lateral toe. The three stripes are in tonal 3M with “Shoe Palace” printed on them. The pull tab on the heel represents tickets that you would get for rides and games. The tongue shows three trefoil logos stacked above each other in the same colors found throughout the shoe. It has a custom insole with the vintage sign that the colorway was inspired by. The boost technology is done in white with a splash of Impact Orange for color pop. Lastly, the lateral midsole is printed with the year the Flea Market started and the original stall numbers that Shoe Palace started from.
